Presentation On Bullying Tonight

“Bullying”..a problem in contemporary society that is affecting our children, will be the topic at an open meeting for the general public on this Thursday, sponsored by the Greater Middletown Branch of the American Association of University Women (AAUW).

An expert presenting panel will include
•Jo Ann Frieberg, Ph.D., Education Consultant, School Climate, Bullying and Character Education, Bureau of Accountability and Improvement, State Department of Education,
•Elaine Ducharme, Ph.D., Licensed Psychologist, practicing in Glastonbury
•Mindy Otis, Ph.D., Chair of the Climate Subcommittee of the Middletown Schools District Data Team.

Domenique Thornton, Vice President of the Mental Health Association of Connecticut for Human Resources & Public Policy and also a member of AAUW, is in charge of arrangements for this meeting.

Members of the Middletown Board of Education and the Superintendent of Schools are invited to this informative discussion.

It will be held TODAY Thursday, October 27, at 7:00 p.m. in the newly-renovated Allbritton Center, on the Wesleyan campus (the former Student Center) at 222 Church St. Free parking is available in the parking lot on the opposite side of Church Street from the Allbritton Center.
